At first sight iPad developers are lucky ones when compared to some of their colleagues
The Android OS provides developers with much more freedom and independence.
Despite lots of difficulties presented at the market mobile developers are engaged

Mobile development is quite a promising business. So, no wonder there are lots of people eager to participate at it. Though, frankly speaking, only few have managed to reach the top of the profession delivering to the market a product which enjoys unprecedented success with consumers. Nevertheless, all that does not prevent more and more mobile developers from coming to the market.
The army of Apple developers is countless which is quite understandable given such strong incentives as money paid to developers from each downloading of their app and more than 250 000 app titles at the App Store. At the same time more and more developers turn to less promising platforms as Android, anticipating its tremendous development and glorious future. According to recent researches held by agencies engaged in the activity most mobile developers consider the idea of creating apps for the upcoming tablets quite a worthy attempt. Considering the first Android-based tablet – 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab –will hit the market in just several weeks, general consumers will be able to enjoy it with already preloaded apps.
While Android developers are thinking over possibilities of creating apps for tablets, developers for other platforms also have several issues to consider. First of all, as RIM is also planning to release a tablet at the beginning of next year, Blackberry developers also can apply their qualifications and skills to developing apps for greater screen space. The only problem is that Research in Motion seems to choose for its tablet an OS which is quite different from the one used on Blackberry smartphones. So, further clarifications on the matter from RIM’s side would be of use.
The recent release of the new mobile platform by Microsoft also caused several questions which may need further explanation. The WinPhone 7 OS seems to be both quality and functional, providing all the modern features consumers and developers seek in a mobile core. At the same time Steve Ballmer did not mention about any plans to use its on anything bigger than a regular smartphone. It would be quite difficult to believe that Microsoft said goodbye to its ambitious plans to capture such a promising market segment, given its attempts to foster the development of the HP’s Slate. At the same time the company may turn out to have several trumps up its sleeve which are put off till a more favorable moment. Virtually, mobile developers have many possibilities to become quite successful at the tablet market, which though recently created may well come into full swing quite rapidly and unexpectedly.
